Aaron Neville
1941 -

Aaron Neville was born on January 24, 1941. He grew up in the Calliope Housing Project and on Valence Street in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana. A four-time Grammy Award winner, Neville is known throughout the world as a member of the Neville Brothers family band and as a soloist.

As a product of the culturally complex Mississippi Delta and New Orleans musical traditions, Aaron Neville's influences include Gospel, Country, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Rock, amongst other things. In 1967, Aaron's "Tell It Like It Is" reached number one on the R & B charts and number two on the pop charts. He has traveled throughout the world, but has never forgotten his roots. He currently lives in New Orleans.
