TOY TOOLS: CIRCA 1950
The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum has selected artifacts from
its permanent collections of toy and miniature tools to create an exhibit to place on view for
museum visitors to enjoy. The exhibit features over 300 tools, including a Wilesco brick making
factory, anvils, picks, hammers, mallets, and carpenter tools such as planes, drills, and
saws, and 32 types of shovels. Also featured are hack saws and wrenches of all types.
Current admission fees are $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for students 6-17, and children ages 5 and under are free. Admission is free to everyone on the first Sunday of the month. Scheduled school tours are free. The building is handicap accessible.
The exhibit may be viewed during regular museum hours, 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday
through Friday, and noon until 4 PM Saturday and Sunday.
