The files displayed here contain election result data data for a certain election 
date.  The files are named with the election date in YYMMDD. The only exception 
to this is the 96gmblng.zip file, which contains 3 Lotus 123 spreadsheets for the 
3 gambling issues in 1996:  LandBased, Riverboat, and Video.

The results file does contain the office title and candidates names and ballot numbers, 
but not the detail info on a candidate.  These files have either a "csv" extension,
for comma separated values, or "dbf" for dBase file typ compatible software.
These files will import directly into any major spreadsheet, where the user can
customize the column headings as they wish.  When using these files for calculations
and analysis, DO NOT include any record in which the parish field equals 0.
These records are for informational purposes only, to aid the user in setting up the
proper column headings, as these records contain the office title, candidate name, or
ballot numbers.
